Committees

Independent committees. Public decisions.

Every operational committee has a published charter, a fixed-term membership, and publishes its decisions in full — subject only to a narrow confidentiality standard.

Standards Committee

Writes and revises the Registry Rulebook and methodologies. Members are scientists, sectoral experts and MRV specialists. Recommends approval to the Board.

Ethics & Integrity Committee

Reviews conflict-of-interest declarations, receives whistleblower reports, decides sanctions. Chaired by external legal counsel with no other CERT role.

Appeals & Grievance Committee

Independently reviews contested decisions and hears grievances from projects, buyers, VVBs, and affected communities. Decisions are binding on the Secretariat and published.

Stakeholder Council

Formal, public voice for developers, buyers, VVBs, civil society and host communities. Reviews policy proposals; may request Board hearings with a guaranteed 60-day response window.

Publication schedule

Meeting minutes are published within 20 working days. Sanctions decisions are published within 5 working days of finalisation.
