Performance monitoring

Spot re-verification. Real consequences.

CERT re-verifies up to 5% of verifications each year on a risk-weighted basis. VVBs that under-perform lose accreditation.

How it works

  • Spot re-verification: up to 5% of verifications each year, sampled on a risk-weighted basis.
  • Anomaly triggers: AI-assisted flags increase the likelihood of re-verification.
  • Complaint-driven re-verification: credible complaints trigger a targeted re-verification.
  • Published sanctions: every sanction against a VVB is published, with reasons.
Sanctions
Sanctions range from mandatory re-training and suspension of specific auditors, up to full loss of accreditation and cancellation of unretired CRUs from affected verifications.
