Every enforcement action, published.

Sanctions and over-issuance remediation are published with quantities and reasons. Good-faith retirements are never clawed back.

Types of sanction

  • Written warning.
  • Publication of finding with the responsible party named.
  • Suspension of the project, buyer or VVB.
  • Cancellation of unretired CRUs from affected vintages.
  • Termination of accreditation (for VVBs).
Buyer protection
Good-faith retirements stand. Remediation targets the responsible party and the wider system — never the buyer who retired in good faith.

All sanctions are listed in the public sanctions register, published in machine-readable form as part of the Open Data extracts.
